3)Sports Health & Scinece School
Sports Health & Science School, which was originally called Sports Psychology & Health Rehabilitation department, was built in 1989. Consisting of 5 sections with an affiliated hospital and a laboratory, Sports Health & Science School offers the following programs: two undergraduate majors, namely Sports Physical Science and Applied Psychology ( Sports Psychology direction), and three postgraduate majors, namely Sports Medicine, Sports Physical Science and Applied Psychology. Among these majors, Sports Physical Science and Applied Psychology are the Key Disciplines in Hubei province. The school recruits students from home and abroad. At present, there are more than 300 undergraduates and 100 postgraduates.
• Faculty
There are more than 40 teachers, including 9 professors and 27 associate professors, among whom there are 16 doctors. To enhance the teaching level, the school has employed 7 well-known scholars in the field of international Sports Medicine and Sports Psychology as honorary professors.
• Targets
Sports Health & Science School centers on ˇ°the Nationwide Body-Buildingˇ± and ˇ°Competitive Sports Planˇ±, and takes the human body as a research subject to comprehensively achieve sports scientific services and a strong adaptability of teaching, research and social services within the professional structure.
